Vanderbilt
Created in 1912 by 'Guido' of Kursaal Bar, Ostende, in Belgium, on the occasion of a visit by Colonel Cornelius Vanderbilt, the American millionaire. The Colonel drowned shortly afterwards in the Lusitania, and his cocktail promptly became world famous.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 measures of cognac
- 1 measure of cherry brandy
- 1 teaspoon of sugar syrup
- 1 dash of Angostura
Instructions
Add to glass filled with broken ice and twist of lemon.
