Prohibition Cocktail

US Prohibition (1919-1933) led to a boom in cocktail invention, mainly because bootlegged liquor was usually so awful it had to be mixed to disguise the taste.

Ingredients

  • 2 measures of Plymouth gin
  • 2 measures of Lillet (Dry Vermouth)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of apricot brandy 1 teaspoon of orange juice

Instructions

Shake and strain. Squeeze twist of lemon and discard.
