Created around 1925 by Luigi Naintré, a famous restaurateur, whilst working at the Criterion, London.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 measures of gin
  • 1 1/2 measures of Dry Vermouth
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Cointreau
  • 1 teaspoon of Grenadine
  • 1 measure of mandarin juice

Instructions

Shake and strain.

Garnish: cherry and slice of orange.
