Kir

Created by French farm workers in Burgundy, France. They added cassis to their Bourgogne Aligote wine to make it even more drinkable, and named the mix after the colourful war hero and Mayor of Dijon, Canon Felix Kir (1876-1968).

Ingredients

• 1/2 measure of Creme de Cassis
• 4 measures of cold dry white wine (preferably burgundy)

Instructions

Add to chilled glass.
