The great Brandy Alexander has a sophisticated quality despite its simple construction.

Ingredients

• 1 1/3 measures of brandy
• 1 1/3 measures of dark Creme de Cacao
• 1 1/3 measure of double cream

Instructions

Shake and strain.

Garnish: grated chocolate or nutmeg.

Alcohol Content: 2.5 units

Glass Type: Champagne Saucer

Variations:

• Arnaretto Alexander: Substitute brandy for 1 1/3 measures of Amaretto di Saronno
• Rum Alexander: Substitute brandy for 1 measure of white rum and 1/3 measure of dark rum
