Remmsen Cooler

Dating from around 1880, this is believed to have been the first spirit-based cooler to appear. Originally it was served without sugar/syrup. 2 measures of gin

Ingredients

  • 3/4 measure of sugar syrup
  • 5 measures of soda water

Instructions

Add to glass filled with ice and spiral of lemon. If scotch is used in place of gin, this is a Remsen Cooler.
