Pisang Garuda

Garuda, the fabulous mythical part-human bird described in ancient Hindu Sanskrit, is the national emblem of Indonesia. Pisang Ambon is based on an old Indonesian recipe.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 measures of Pisang Ambon
• 1 measure of white rum
• 1/2 measure of Mandarine Napoleon
• 4 measures of sparkling bitter lemon

Instructions

Rim glass with Grenadine/caster sugar. Shake and strain into ice-filled glass, add the bitter lemon.

Garnish: colourful fruit in season redolent of plumage, add straws.
