Horse's Neck
The original 1890s Horse's Neck was a non-alcoholic mix of lemon peel, ice and ginger ale. By around 1910 bourbon or sometimes brandy was added, and the result known as a Horse's Neck With a Kick or Horse's Neck - Stiff.
Ingredients
- 2 measures of brandy or bourbon
- 1 dash of Angostura
- 4 measures of dry ginger ale
Instructions
Add the spiral rind of a whole lemon to glass with one end hanging over side. Half fill with ice and add the ingredients.
