Brandy Sangaree

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 measures of brandy
  • 1/2 measure of sugar syrup
  • 2 1/2 measures of soda water
  • 1/2 measure of LBV port

Instructions

Add to glass filled with broken ice, sprinkle the port on top. Dust with nutmeg and add straws.

Alcohol Content: 2.8 units

Glass Type: Highball Glass

Replace the brandy to make the following Sangarees:

  • Bourbon Sangaree: 2 1/2 measures of bourbon
  • Gin Sangaree: 2 1/2 measures of gin
  • Scotch Sangaree: 2 1/2 measures of scotch
  • Sherry Sangaree: 2 1/2 measures of sweet sherry
  • Fruit Sangarees such as peach, apricot or cherry can also be made by using a fruit brandy in place of the spirit and omitting the sugar syrup.
    Alcohol Content: 1.5 units
