Lamb's Wool

This recipe goes back to the seventeenth century, when it was drunk on November 1st - at 'La Mas-ubal' - an occasion dedicated to the angel presiding over fruit and seeds.

Ingredients

  • 114 cl (40 fl oz) hot ale
  • 6 roasted apples - cored, peeled and mashed
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ginger
  • sugar

Instructions

Mix in warm jug and sweeten to taste.
