Coffee Chaser

Instructions

  • 1/2 measure of Kahlua
  • 1/2 measure of Grand Marnier
  • 5 measures of hot black coffee
  • 1 1/2 measures of whipped cream sugar

Add coffee and liquors to glass and sweeten to taste. Gently float the cream on top, use lightly whipped whipping cream or, in an emergency, spray-on sweet cream. Sprinkle with grated chocolate. If 1/2 measure of cognac is added to a Coffee Chaser, this is a Parisian Coffee.

Replace Kahlua, Grand Marnier and grated chocolate in the following popular coffees:

  • Balearic Coffee: 1/2 measure of Frigola Sprinkle with nutmeg
  • Bavarian Coffee:1/2 measure of peppermint schnapps 1/2 measure of Kahlua. Sprinkle with chocolate
  • Belgian Coffee: 3/4 measure of Elixir d'Anvers Sprinkle with chocolate
  • Café Don Juan: 3/4 measure of dark rum 1 measure of Kahlua. Rim with lemon/sugar Sprinkle with chocolate
  • Café Grande: 1/3 msi'Tia Maria, 1/3 measure of dark creme de cacao 1/3 measure of Grand Marnier. Top with cherry
  • Café Imperial: 3/4 measure of Mandarine Napoleon
  • Café Nelson: 3/4 measure of Baileys, 3/4 measure of Frangelico. Sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts
  • Calypso Coffee: 1 measure of Tia Maria. Sprinkle with chocolate
  • Calypso Coffee: 1/2 measure of white rum USA, 1/2 measure of dark creme de cacao. Top with 1 teaspoon of amaretto
  • Caribbean Coffee: 1 measure of dark rum. Sprinkle with chocolate
  • Casino Coffee: 1/2 measure of brandy, 1/2 measure of dark creme de cacao 1/2 measure of amaretto. Sprinkle with chocolate
  • Chambord Coffee: 1 measure of Chambord. Top with one fresh raspberry
  • Coffee Break: 1/2 measure of brandy, 1/2 measure of Kahlua. Top with cherry
  • Dutch Coffee: 1 measure of Oude Genever Sprinkle with nutmeg
  • Dutch Coffee: 1/2 measure of Vandermint, 1/3 measure of Kahlua. Top with 1 teaspoon of amaretto
  • English Coffee: 1/2 measure of London Dry Gin, 1/3 measure of triple sec, 1/3 measure of Kahlua. Top with 1 teaspoon of triple sec
  • French Coffee: 1 measure of Cointreau, 1/2 measure of Kahlua. Top with 1 teaspoon of Cointreau
  • Gaelic Coffee: 3/4 measure of scotch. Sprinkle with chocolate
  • German Coffee: 1/2 measure of kirsch. Top with black cherry Irish Mist Coffee: 1/2 measure of Irish whiskey, 1/2 measure of Irish Mist. Top with cherry
  • Italian Coffee: 1/2 measure of Strega. Sprinkle with nutmeg
  • Jamaican Coffee: 3/4 measure of white rum 1/2 measure of Tia Maria. Top with 1 teaspoon of Tia Maria
  • Keoke Coffee: 1/2 measure of brandy, 1/2 measure of Kahlua, 1/2 measure of dark creme de cacao. Top with cherry
  • Lagos Coffee: 3/4 measure of apricot brandy, 1/2 measure of Kahlua. Top with 1 teaspoon of amaretto
  • Mexican Coffee: 1 measure of Kahlua. Sprinkle with chocolate
  • Prince Charles Coffee: 3/4 measure of Drambuie. Sprinkle with chocolate
  • Puerto Rican Coffee: 3/4 measure of Captain Morgan spiced rum. Top with 1 teaspoon of Kahlua
  • Royale Coffee: 1 measure of cognac. Sprinkle with chocolate
  • Russian Coffee: 1 measure of vodka 1/2 measure of Kahlua. Top with 1 teaspoon of amaretto and a cherry
  • Scandinavian Coffee: 1 measure of aquavit. Sprinkle with nutmeg
  • Shamrock Coffee: 1 measure of Irish Mist. Sprinkle with chocolate
  • Tropical Coffee: 1 measure of golden rum. Sprinkle with cinnamon
