Café d'Amour

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 measure of cognac
  • 5 measures of hot black coffee
  • zest of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • sugar to taste

Instructions

Rim cup with lemon/sugar. Briefly simmer all but cognac in small saucepan. Heat and ignite cognac in soup ladle, add to coffee and extinguish. Strain into cup. If one clove and the zest of half an orange are added to the saucepan before heating, this is a Café Brulot. The cup should not have a sugar rim.
