In Spring 1945, the US 21st Corps crossed the Rhine and liberated a Wehrmacht liquor store. The assortment of liqueurs were soon pressed into service. To make these more palatable in quantity, the following formula was devised.

Ingredients

  • 1 measure of brandy
  • 1 measure of Benedictine 1 measure of Cointreau
  • 4 measures of champagne

Instructions

Add to glass. Can be made in a large jug with chopped fruits in season added.
