Alfonso

When Spanish King Alfonso XIII was deposed in 1931, he spent much of his exile in France. There he sampled this cocktail.

Ingredients

• 4 measures of champagne
• 1 measure of Dubonnet
• 1 lump sugar
• 3 drops of Angostura

Instructions

Add Angostura to sugar lump in frosted glass. Add large ice cube and the liquors. Squeeze lemon twist on top and discard.
