Negroni Cocktail

In 1919, at the Casoni Bar in Florence, Count Camillo Negroni decided he would prefer his usual Americano' with a little gin. Soon everyone wanted the drink 'as Negroni has it'.

Ingredients

  • 1 measure of gin
  • 1 measure of Rosso Vermouth
  • 3/4 measure of Campari
  • 1 measure of soda water (optional)

Instructions

Stir and strain into glass three-quarters filled with broken ice, add the soda if required.

Garnish: half slice of orange. Originally served with equal measures of liquors.
