Montgomery

Created by Ernest Hemingway at Harry's Bar, Venice. He claimed Monty dared not engage Nazi troops until his Desert Rats' numerical superiority was 15:1, the ratio of gin to Vermouth in this cocktail. A very dry Martini.

Ingredients

• 3 3/4 measure of gin
• 1/4 measure of Dry Vermouth

Instructions

Stir and strain into frosted glass, add twist of lemon.

Alcohol Content: 3.9 units
