Merry Widow

Vermouth takes its name from wermut, the German word for wormwood, a herb used in the production of aromatised wines since Roman times. Commercial production began around 1750-90.

Ingredients

  • 2 measures of gin
  • 1 measure of Dry Vermouth
  • 1 teaspoon of Benedictine 1/2 teaspoon of Pernod
  • 1 dash of Angostura

Instructions

Stir and strain. Add lemon twist.
