Dry Manhattan
Versions of the Manhattan using Dry Vermouth have been recorded as early as 1884, but the term Dry Manhattan only appeared around 1920. At that time it consisted of a mixture of Vermouths - what we now call a Perfect Manhattan.
Ingredients
- 2 measures of Canadian Whisky
- 1 measure of Dry Vermouth
- 4 drops of Angostura
Instructions
Shake briefly with a glassful of broken ice and pour unstrained.
Garnish: lemon twist.
Alcohol Content: 2.5 units
Glass Type: Tumbler, Old-Fashioned or Rocks Glass
